IJYI developed the Darwin4Trains platform for the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) to enhance the delivery of real-time passenger information across the UK rail network.
The project involved:
The creation of a cloud-based message pipeline that consolidates various data sources (scheduling, station facilities, delays, etc.) into a single feed, enabling the delivery of up to 5 million messages daily.
Our six-person team operated an agile methodology and worked closely with RDG, maintaining open communication and flexibility to adapt to emerging requirements throughout the three-month project. Implementation of automated build, test, and release processes ensured high-quality code and rapid deployment across multiple environments.
We used Amazon AWS Cloud Infrastructure for scalability, allowing the system to handle sudden spikes in usage efficiently. The project was completed on time and within budget, achieving a 100% pass rate on all penetration tests, ensuring security and reliability.
